100 HUNDRED UNITS MARCH IN 100TH
SPRINGFIELD FOURTH OF JULY PARADE
VIEW PHOTO GALLERY FROM SPRINGFIELD PARADE
Tom Armstrong, who was Springfield town supervisor for decades, was honored today as grand marshal of Springfield’s 100th Fourth of July parade.
Debbie Miller, chairman of the 100th anniversary Springfield Fourth of July Parade this morning, had a reason to smile. She had recruited 100 units for the occasion, a record.
John Brooks, retired owner of Brooks BBQ, Oneonta, simulated a grill by splashing water on dry ice — very nifty. A highpoint of the Springfield parade was a Brooks feast the followed at the community center.
