Advertise

Regardless of the time of year, we are offering terrific advertising rates and opportunities in our Iron String Press publications.

One of the biggest benefits to advertising with us is that every ad placed in our newspapers is also posted to our website, yielding maximum exposure you will not find elsewhere, and the most cost-effective way to connect with your target audience.

“Hometown Oneonta” is direct mailed to 100 percent of the businesses and homes in Oneonta—a circulation of 10,000 newspapers weekly in Otsego County’s only city and largest population center.

“The Freemans Journal” has been Otsego County’s weekly community newspaper since 1808. It is a weekly paid subscription newspaper focusing on the news of Otsego County in general and northern Otsego in particular, including Cooperstown—the zip code in this county with the highest disposable income—and areas surrounding Otsego Lake.

Our website, AllOtsego.com, currently averages roughly 35,000 unique visitors and 80,000 page views each month, with subscribers from Otsego, Delaware, and Chenango counties and beyond.

Now—with the launch of our new website—we have expanded online advertising options including featured banners, horizontal and vertical banners, and cubes.

“Parked” ads are those that we manually place on a particular page and location. The same ad will appear for every page view in a given position. “Rotating” ads are just that—each time the page is loaded, a different ad will be pulled from those in active rotation.

Some interesting information about our readers:

· Almost half (42%) of readers surveyed have an advanced degree (master’s/doctorate)

· 95% of surveyed subscribers would recommend a subscription to a friend

· 50% of those surveyed check allotsego.com several times a week

Putting the Community Back Into the Newspaper

Now through March 30, new annual subscribers to “The Freeman’s Journal” and AllOtsego.com (or subscribers who have lapsed for two or more years) have an opportunity to help their choice of one of four Otsego County charitable organizations.

$5.00 of your subscription will be donated to the nonprofit of your choice:

Cooperstown Farmers’ Market, Cooperstown Food Pantry, Greater Oneonta Historical Society or Super Heroes Humane Society.
