Survivors Include 2 Daughters In Oneonta

ONEONTA – Gloria Ann Totora, 63, whose survivors include two daughters in Oneonta, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, at Bassett Hospital.

She was born Feb. 6, 1953, in Bridgeport, Conn., the daughter of the late Chester and Germaine (Ladang) Kisiel.

Gloria married Ronald Totora on Veterans Day Nov. 11, 1972 which this year marks 44 years, at the Veterans Chapel in West Haven, Conn.

For many years Gloria was a loyal, dedicated, hardworking, valued employee at Bradlees Department Store in Bridgeport, Conn., where she was a part of a women’s flow team unloading trucks.

She enjoyed watching the hummingbirds, and feeding squirrels from her hands in the backyard. Being known as the “Cupcake Lady” for creating delicious and decorative cupcakes for any and all occasions. Gloria also loved to cook, “Because MoM makes everything Great!” she’d reply. But most of all, she loved her family unconditionally. She was the glue that held everyone together, and the heart that everyone wanted to be a part of.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Ronald Totora of Oneonta; two daughters, Melissa Jacko and Stefanie Totora both of Oneonta; one grandson, Anthony Jacko of Oneonta; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Kisiel.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 10:15 am in St. Mary’s Church, 39 Walnut Street, Oneonta with Rev. David Mickiewicz officiating. Burial will be in the Oneonta Plains Cemetery.
