Alex Kersman of Worcester hoists his 4-year-old daughter Piper up to help decorate a lamp pole Sunday, Nov. 24, during the 4C’s committee’s annual downtown decoration event. This was the family’s first year participating, but they hope to come back next year. “There’s a few things we try to do every year,” says dad Alex, “We’re going to continue doing this.”  The 4C’s is the Cooperstown Community Christmas Committee and relies almost exclusively on volunteers.  (James Cummings/AllOTSEGO.com)
