Municipal and business leaders from across New York State have gathered at The Egg in Albany at this hour to learn which three of seven Regional Economic Development Council’s will share $1.5 billion from Governor Cuomo’s Upstate Revitalization Initiative.
Otego County is in the six-county Mohawk Valley REDC, one of the seven contenders, and local officials attending include Cooperstown Mayor Jeff Katz and Caroline Lewis, SUNY Oneonta’s economic developer.
The winners of this year’s CFA grants will also be announced. Local projects seeking funding include the D&H yards revitalization in Oneonta and the restoration of 22 Main, Cooperstown’s Village Hall.
