The Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce has alerted members the Village Board is holding a public hearing at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan 25, on expanding paid parking five weeks from the Labor Day Weekend to Columbus Day Weekend.

And the chamber is again surveying members on how they feel about expanding paid parking, and to e-mail the survey to hanna@cooperstownchamber.org

“This is an opportunity as a business owner and/or resident of the Village of Cooperstown to be heard,” chamber Executive Director Matt Hazzard wrote in an e-mail to members.  Last year, when the chamber polled members on a plan to expand to paid parking to additional streets, “nearly 75  percent of our membership that responded were against the expansion.”
