His first day back in the state Senate after recuperating from a bladder-cancer operation in April, state Sen. Jim Seward, R-Milford, chaired an Insurance Committee meeting on legislation to clear hurdles for Uber, Lyft and similar ride sharing services from providing coverage to their drivers and passangers.
