Elmo joined the Easter Bunny yesterday at the first of the Leatherstocking Railroad Historical Association’s holiday train rides, departing from the Milford Depot. The two will ride the Cooperstown & Charlotte Valley rails from Milford to Cooperstown again at 1:30 p.m. today, and again next weekend, at 1:30 Saturday and Sunday, April 15-16. Stocking, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on May 17, 2023 at the age of 100. Virginia was born in Cooperstown on December 2, 1922 to Earl and Catherine Richards. She spent most of her childhood in East Springfield and graduated from Springfield Central School in June of 1940.
