Village Extends ‘Freeze Warning’

COOPERSTOWN –  Despite today’s above-freezing temperatures, the Village of Cooperstown has had and continues to receive “a significant number” of reports of residents with frozen water laterals.

At this time we ask that all residents leave one facet in their home running on a slow trickle, until further notice, to prevent their lateral from freezing.  Once the threat of freezing is past, the “freeze warning” issued last Saturday will be lifted.

If you have any question, please contact Water Superintendent Dennis Elliot at 435-1347 or DPW Superintendent Brian Clancy at 435-9950
