WOMAN’S BODY RECOVERED
FROM CHERRY VALLEY CREEK

CHERRY VALLEY – Otsego County Coroner Michael Fox has scheduled an autopsy on the body of a woman found early Thursday afternoon in Canajorahie Creek in the Town of Cherry Valley’s northeast coroner, the county Sheriff’s Department reports.

The identity of the adult woman’s body located at the scene has not been made public at this time.

The sheriff’s department reports its 911 Center and Schoharie County’s received a call simultaneously at 12:28 p.m. reporting a body in the creek at the intersection of Buel Road and Ray Mower Spur road northest of Sharon Springs.

Otsego and Schoharie county deputies, as well as state polilce and a state forest ranger responded to the scene.

Otsego deputies, troopers and county District Attorney John Muehl’s office are investigating what may have happened.
