EDMESTON – Sheriff’s deputies this afternoon issued a “missing endangered person” report, after George E. Holbert, 79, or Dutch Valley Road, Town of Edmeston, had been reported missing since Sunday.
Holbert is on numerous medications, left at home, that he needs daily, deputies said. The missing man left his home in a 2012 grey GMC Canyon Quad cab pickup, license plate: DCW-7471.
Anyone with information should call deputies at 547-4273.
EDMESTON—Wayne E. Maier, 81, of Edmeston, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023 in Cooperstown, New York.
Wayne was born on April 7, 1942 in St. Johnsville, New York, the son of the late Edmund and Dorothy Groff Maier. He is survived by his wife, Veronica, whom he married in 1965; his sons, Christopher (Marena) Maier and John (Donna) Maier; his grandchildren, Blake (Mariah) Maier, Cody (Cassidy Carmichael) Maier, and Ashlynne Maier; and great-granddaughter Mia Maier. Bernice was born on February 23, 1927 in Oak Park, Illinois, the daughter of the late Elbert W. and Eleanor F. (Hicks) Larson.
