Oneonta’s ‘Ninja Warrior’
Delayed By Stanley Cup
Anthony Eardley’s Appearance Now July 1
ONEONTA – Tonight’s screening of “American Ninja Warrior” at the Foothills Performing Center, with Oneonta’s own Anthony Eardley, has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, July 1, at Foothills.
NBC canceled tonight’s “Warriors” episode to air the Stanley Cup finals.
The July 1 ANW episode, which will be shown on a big screen at the Foothills, will spotlight Anthony doing the obstacle course. Viewers will get to see where Anthony lands next – if he makes it to the next qualifying level.
Anthony will be at the screening to sign autographs, take pictures, and answer questions. His family will have refreshments, giveways, and ANW items for sale, with all proceeds going to various Oneonta nonprofits.
“The community has embraced Anthony,” his mother Angela Eardley said. “So we want to give back to the community.”
The Eardleys, including Anthony, will also have a tent set up at Oneonta’s Fourth of July Festival in Neawa Park, starting at 12 p.m. They will have refurbished sports equipment and clothing, such as roller blades, dance gear, and baseball items, to give away to those who need them. The Eardleys will also be showing Anthony’s demo video that got him on ANW as well as a special display which Anthony is using his welding skills to construct.
The final exciting news is Anthony has qualified for the Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association’s 2019 World Series Championship Finals, held July 26-28, 2019 at Mystic Lake Center in Minnesota.
