GOP Challenge To Marietta Petitions
Moved To Cooperstown Courtroom
COOPERSTOWN – The Republican county committee’s legal challenge to petitions submitted by Democrat Andrew Marietta for the District 8 seat on the county Board of Representatives will be heard by Administrative Judge Robert C. Mulvey at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the county courthouse in Cooperstown.
Originally, the hearing had been scheduled in front of state Supreme Court Judge Kevin Dowd, Norwich. Marietta, who is also distributing petitions to run as an independent, is challenging county Rep. Rick Hulse, R-Fly Creek.
