Though they are intended to be private, Veterans Clubs around the county will still honor the fallen on Monday, May 25, while enforcing social distancing.

In Oneonta, the local chapter of the American Legion and the Boy Scouts will lay wreaths on the monuments on the Veterans Memorial Walkway, as well as play “Taps” and give a three-round volley at 11 a.m. in Neahwa Park, Oneonta.

In Cooperstown, members of the Veterans’ Club will pay tribute at four sites – The World War I monument on Pine Blvd., The Fly Creek Firehouse, The Lakeview Cemetery and the Soldiers and Sailors monument in Lake Front Park. 9:30 a.m. Veterans Club, Main Street, Cooperstown.
