Fire destroys cabin near Portlandville on Saturday

Smoke and fire could be seen through the trees on Route 28 north of Portlandville on Saturday, May 15, as the Milford Fire Department  responded to the blaze. (Cheryl Clough/Allotsego.com).
The Milford Fire Department responded to a structure fire Saturday, May 15, on county Route 35, at the end of Friis Lane in the town of Milford.
A cabin in the woods near the Susquehanna River was a complete loss, but no one was reported hurt in the blaze.
