Unatego tops Greene
in baseball, 4-1

Greene outhit Unatego but the Spartans came away with a Midstate Athletic Conference baseball win, 4-1, Tuesday, June 1, in Otego.

Tyler Birdsall and Braedon Johnson had the only two hits of the game for Unatego, but they were RBI singles, producing two of the team’s four runs. Birdsall also scored. Brandon Gregory walked twice and score both times.

Matt Serrao pitched a complete game for Unatego, giving up six hits but one run, while striking out nine and walking one one batter. Greene stranded seven batters.

Unatego benefited from six walks from Greene pitchers.

The Spartans play a conference game at Sidney at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, June 3.
