Milford woman charged with arson

The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office announced that a Milford woman has been charged with two counts of fourth-degree arson.

Susan Raczkowski, 50, was arrested Thursday, June 17, following an investigation into a structure fire on Evening Inn Road in the town of Milford, according to a media release from the department.

The Sheriff’s Office received notification from the Milford Fire Department, after the MFD investigated a wood shed fire, determined that the cause of the fire was suspicious.

According to the media release, the investigation determined that the defendant recklessly allowed the fire to destroy the shed and the property within.

Raczkowski was issued an appearance ticket to return to the Milford Town Court at an unspecified date. She was also charged with two misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief in the fourth-degree.
