Otsego County announces
another death from COVID

Otsego County’s Department of Health announced Wednesday, Oct. 13, that another county resident has died from the coronavirus.

According to county records, 52 residents have died from the virus in 2021 and 71 total since the pandemic began in 2020.

The DOH also reported 23 new positive cases Wednesday, with a seven-day average positivity rate of 3.7%.

According to the DOH, 54.7% of the total county population is fully vaccinated, including 79.7% of senior citizens and 61% of people 12 and older.
