Tickets On Sale For ‘On Wild Side,’
New Year’s Gala At The Otesaga
COOPERSTOWN – Tickets are on sale for “On the Wild Side,” the Friends of Bassett Healthcare Network’s 2015 New Year’s Eve Gala at The Otesaga, now in its 22nd year. Proceeds from this year’s gala will benefit the Nightingale Fund for Nursing Excellence.
The gala takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 31. The evening features cocktails and hors d’œuvres, a live auction with Dr. Donald Raddatz as auctioneer, a dinner buffet, open bars, dancing, a midnight champagne toast and fireworks.
The evening’s entertainment will feature the live band Chaser from New York City. Chaser has been performing for more than 25 years, and the eight-piece band features a unique blend of New York’s finest professional musicians. Also, DJ Sound FX will liven up the crowd with a high-energy light show. Dancing will continue through midnight, when the champagne comes out and the fireworks begin.
The gala committee chair is Joan MacDonald. This year the gala auction committee is hosting a special live auction of unique and one-of-a kind items, including a one-week stay in a beautiful vacation home in Hilton Head, South Carolina; a 10-day stay in Penney Cottage in Heytesbury, England; and a getaway weekend at the Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa in Lake Placid. To review all auction items, call the Friends office for a copy of the event program or visit the Friends website: www.friendsofbassett.org.
New this year is a special pre-auction “Best of Live” auction raffle. Each raffle ticket costs $100. Only 100 tickets will be sold. One lucky winner will take home the live auction item of their choice. The winning ticket will be drawn at the gala just before the live auction begins. You do not have to be present to win. Tickets must be purchased with cash only. To purchase a ticket, contact the Friends office at 607-547-3928.
