Ulster Deputies Arrest 3 Oneontans

For Allegedly Driving Heroin Home

heroin-clipart-CoolClips_medi0215ONEONTA – Three Oneontans are facing charges for allegedly transporting “a large of amount of heroin” from New York City to their hometown, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Department is reporting.

They were identified as Francesca Lorusso, 20, Ricardo J. Korianski, 34, and Jason E. Blass, 36.

The three were arrested after they were pulled over for a traffic violation while northbound on the New York State Thruway near Kingston at 11:45 p.m. Sunday evening in the Town of Hurley, according to a sheriff’s department Facebook posting.

After discovering Lorusso was driving with a suspended license, deputies discovered 400 “bags” or “decks” of heroin hidden in the vehicle, the posting said.

All three were charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, third degree, a class B felony.  Lorusso was also charged with possessing a “hypodermic instrument” and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, three degree.

The three were arraigned in Hurley Town Court and remanded to Ulster County Jail in lieu of  $25,000 cash bail and $100,000 property bond.
