IN MEMORIAM: James Bell, 88; D&H Retiree
ONEONTA – James C. Bell, 88, who retired from the D&H after a long career, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on March 22, 2016.
In his retirement, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruth (Silvernail) Bell; his daughters, Jean (David) Christensen and Joan (Ron) Martini; grandchildren, Amy (Justin), Brad (Jessica); Marissa (Jeff) and Mary (Andrew); great-grandchildren, Matthew, Wyatt, Jordan, Jaelyn, and Jenevie; a brother, William (Phyllis) Bell; a sister, Laura (Ben) Haney; a sister-in-law, Lois Bell; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings, David Bell, Dorothy (John) Winn and Barbara (Alfred) Winn.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
