‘American Pickers’ Plan
Another Upstate Swing
The History Channel’s “American Pickers” show is planning another Upstate New York swing this month and in June, and is looking for “junkyards, basements, garages and barns” to “pick.”
The “pickers” – they interviewed Cooperstown’s Michael and Cory Moffat in 2013 for an episode – are Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz.
“‘American Pickers’ follows them as they scour the country for hidden gems…, meeting quirky characters and hearing their amazing stories,” is how the show describes itself.
“If you think the antique business is all about upscale boutiques and buttoned-up dealers, this show may change your mind–and teach you a thing or two about American history along the way.”
If you have a prospect for the show, e-mail americanpickers@cineflix.com or leave a voicemail at 1-855-OLD-RUST.
Casting Associate Lindsey Chase reminds us that Mike and Frank only pick private collections, no stores, malls, flea markets, museums, auctions, businesses or anything open to the public.
