Refurbished Street Lights

Reinstalled In Downtown

Brothers Travis and Jacob Granger of Eastern Energy Solutions, Afton, began installing eight refurbished streetlights on Main Street, part of the $2 million downtown redo. The fixture are the same, but have been cleaned and painted, and the 175-watt bulbs replaced with 45-watt LLED bulbs, longer lasting and more energy efficient, according to Trustee Cindy Falk, chair of the trustees' Streets Committee, who was at the scene with Public Works Superintendent Brian Clancy. GFI circuits, which trip in case of problems, are safer and more energy efficient as well, Falk said. (Jim Kevlin/allotsego.com)
