Gibson To Endorse Faso Today

KINDERHOOK – U.S. Rep. Chris Gibson, R-19^th, will announce his endorsement of John Faso to succeed him at noon today at the Gibson home at 25 Hudson St., Kinderhook.  Both are Republicans.

Faso also lives in that Columbia County village, where he and his wife, Mary Frances, a registered nurse, have raised two children.  Gibson, who has represented Otsego County since 2012, is retiring at year’s end.

According to the announcement, Gibson will discuss Faso’s support of STAR tax relief legislation, and his role as a Rockefeller Institute of Government board member and Control Board work on financial and managerial issues of the City of Buffalo and its school system.

Faso will face Democrat Zephyr Teachout in the November election.
