John Beaumier of Edison, N.J., in center of left-hand photo, was at the Baseball Hall of Fame this morning for the first time in 50 years, since dad Gaston, in right photo with his son, brought John when he was a boy.  At the time, the whole Hall fit into what’s now the Hall’s office building, the easternmost structure in the 25 Main St. complex.  Commemorating the event with a selfie was John’s friend Paul Messina, also of New Jersey, and his son Rob  They were among the thousands of fans arriving in Cooperstown this morning for tomorrow’s 1:30 p.m. Induction of Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza.  This evening, don’t miss the Parade of Legends at 6 p.m. on Main Street. In Memoriam: Nancy J. Kroll

Nancy J. Kroll, 62, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Nancy was born on March 6, 1963 at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, New York, to Edward and Michaeline (Zurek) Kroll. She spent countless hours of her childhood on the Leatherstocking Golf Course, where her father served as the golf professional for many years. It was there that her lifelong love of golf was rooted, and it remained a defining part of who she was.…
