Nicoletta To Retire As Bassett CFO;

Andrews Succeeds Him At Hospital

COOPERSTOWN –  Nick Nicoletta, Richfield Springs, longtime chief financial officer at Bassett Hospital and also CFO of its eight-county healthcare corporation, will retire at the end of the year.

He will be succeeded as hospital CEO by Sue Andrews of Schuyler Lake, a veteran in the hospital’s administration, Bassett President/CEO Vance Brown announced today.  He said a search will be launched for corporate CFO.

Andrews appointment is effective Sept. 1.  She has been in the hospital’s Division of Finance for 34 years and vice president since 2008.  “I am thankful for all the mentorship and support over the years from so many leaders at Bassett, especially Mr. Nicoletta, and look forward to this opportunity now to be his successor,” she said. The corporate CFO will be the financial, insurance, capital, debt and overall financial strategist for Bassett Healthcare Network, which includes the network’s six hospitals, First Community Care of Bassett, At Home Care, Templeton Foundation and Friends of Bassett.

Nicoletta has been at Bassett over 38 years, 27 of those as corporate CFO.

Andrews, who grew up in Sidney, lives in Schuyler Lake with her husband Bruce.

Bassett relaxes emergency visit rules

Bassett relaxes emergency visit rules   Bassett Healthcare Network partially lifted visitation restrictions in its emergency departments across the region effective March 1, 2022.   This includes A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta, A.O. Fox Hospital’s Tri-Town Campus in Sidney, Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, Cobleskill Regional Hospital, Little Falls Hospital, and O’Connor Hospital in Delhi.
