Brother Finds Brother
On ‘Wall That Heals’
John Hartner of the Oneonta Vets’ Club, top photo, helps Angelo Solvin of Margaretville look for his brother Louis’ name on “The Wall That Heals,” the replica of Washington D.C.’s Vietnam War Memorial in Washington D.C. that arrived at Oneonta’s Neahwa Park today. Angelo was in the Fifth Special Forces Group at Fort Bragg in 1959-64. Louis was killed by a sniper’s bullet in Vietnam in 1968. Angelo Solvin found the name and, in lower photo is consoled by Hartner. The wall may be viewed 24 hours a day through 4 p.m. on Monday, Memorial Day. (Ian Austin/AllOTSEGO.com)
