IN MEMORIAM: Louis Nejaime, 46,
Active In Community Bible Chapel
HARTWICK – Louis G. Nejaime, 46, who worked at Scholet Furniture and the Baseball Hall of Fame, and became a devoted member of Community Bible Chapel, Toddsville, while living here, passed away on Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, after battling long-term illness.
Louis was born in Pittsfield, Mass., on Oct. 6, 1970, to Noel “Theresa” and the late George Rached Nejaime. A graduate of Hoosac Valley High School, he worked in the family business, G. Nejaime’s Cheshire Center store, for 25 years. He was also an EMT for the volunteer fire department.
In 2011, Louis married his wife, Maria, and moved to Hartwick. He became a step-father to Katherine and William Reisen. He attended Community Bible Chapel in Toddsville.
Louis is survived by his mother; wife; five sisters and their families, Feriale and Louis Yan, Amale and Christopher Neary, Marie and Michael McCarron, Rima and Lloyd Georgeson and Nadia Nejaime; two step-children, Katherine and William; three nieces, Tara, Kaitlyn and Tessa; as well as seven nephews, Andrew, Alex, David, Zachary, Christopher Adam and Blake, all of whom Louis loved dearly.
In lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Helping Fund of Community Bible Chapel, 577 Greenough Road, Cooperstown, NY 13326, in his memory. Designate “Lou Nejaime Helping Fund” in the memo of the check.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 9, at Community Bible Chapel 577 Greenough Road, Cooperstown.
