Edwin was born in Sayre, Pa., on Sept. 4, 1924, the son of the late Edwin S. Baxter Sr and Edith Van Wormer Baxter. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, the former Priscilla La Forest Baxter of Exeter Center, in 2009.
