Oneontans Are Invited

To Open House Jan. 18

ONEONTA –  Citizens are invited to stop by an open house at the Wilber Mansion from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, and give their reaction to initial conclusions about the city’s Comprehensive Plan Update.

The open house format will allow community members to visit a number of “interactive stations” set up throughout CANO headquarters at 11 Ford Ave. and use pens, markets and Post-It notes to comment, share ideas and mark up maps.

Representatives of Elan Planning & Design, consultants to the comp-plan update steering committee, to answer questions and discuss issue with attendees.

Since last summer, the steering committee has been seeking to determine desired land-use patterns in the city, and to identify “realistic opportunities for business investment,” in particular “downtown revitalization, railyard development and quality of life.”
