IN MEMORIAM: Harold R. Moore Sr., 87;
Retired Farmer Lived, Gardened In Laurens
LAURENS – Harold R. Moore, Sr., 87, a retired farmer, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and friends on Jan. 20, 2018.
He was born Nov. 17, 1930, in Jefferson, the son of Cryus and Hazel (Rifenbark) Moore.
Harold was a farmer until his move to Laurens in 1970. He enjoyed gardening and landscaping.
He is survived by his children, Hazel Clow and Bill Goedel of Laurens, Harold Jr. “Mac” of Laurens, Richard and Doreen of Oneonta, Donnie of Laurens, and Frank of Edmeston; grandchildren, Shawn, Justin, Austin, Jared, Ashley, Jessilyn, Matthew, Brianna, and Nastassja; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Harold was predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Dorothy, Frances, Clara, and Pauline; his brothers, Cyrus, Jr., Walter, and Charles; his son, Roger; and his granddaughter, Keisha.
Calling hours will be 2-3 p.m. with the funeral service at 3 p.m., Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta. The Rev. Judith A. Thistle will be officiating.
The interment at the Oneonta Plains Cemetery at a later date.
