Two Arrested In Burglary

RICHFIELD SPRINGS – Two 19-year-old are under arrest, charged in connection with a  burglary at Park View Liquor at Main and Lake, State Police here announced today.

Troopers received the complaint at 6 a.m. Sept. 6 from a passerby who reported the glass door of the liquor store was broken.  Four bottles of liquor were reported missing, totaling approximately $150.  The damage to the door was valued at approximately $495.

Yesterday, Tyler S. Hotaling of Richfield Springs was arrested at 11:10 a.m. and charged with two felonies, burglary in the third degree and criminal mischief in the third degree.

At 11:30 a.m. today, Richard T. Herron III of Jordanville was charged with the felony burglary in the third degree.

Both teens were arraigned in village court, released on their own recognizance and ordered to reappear on Nov. 27.

  1. Why was there no follow up with the liquor store burglary in October? Did they get away with it? Did they show up Nov 27th as ordered? What was the outcome?
