Utica Man Charged With Cocaine Possession Locally
COOPERSTOWN – A Utica man, Joseph N. Williams, 35, was arrested this morning by Otsego County investigators for selling cocaine last July in the Village of Richfield Springs, county Sheriff’s investigators report.
Williams, who is on parole for drug crimes, has been in Otsego County Jail since July 18, when sheriff’s deputies noticed suspected cocaine in his possession during a traffic stop.
If convicted, Williams faces up to 12 years in prison on the drug sale and another 12 years on the drug possession charges. District Attorney John M. Muehl is prosecuting the cases.
Oneonta and Utica police cooperated with sheriff’s investigators in the case.
