CV Man Arrested On Marijuana Charge
CHERRY VALLEY – A Cherry Valley man, Richard Patalona, 62, was arrested yesterday afternoon for possessing approximately four and a quarter pounds of marijuana that was found in his home Sept. 17, county sheriff’s Senior Investigator Mike Ten Eyck announced today.
Also seized by investigators during the drug investigation was a triple beam balance and $11,000 in cash, according to the press release.
The DEA Northeast Aviation Unit, Cooperstown police, Otsego County probation officers and state parole officers assisted the Sheriff’s Office with the investigation.
Patalona surrendered himself at the sheriff’s department and was arrested on a felony drug charge. He was arraigned by Town of Otsego Judge Gary M. Kuch and directed to appear in town court again next month.
If convicted Patalona faces up to two and a half years in prison. District Attorney John M. Muehl and Assistant District Attorney William C. Green are prosecuting.
