Man Who Left Home In Icy Cold

Found Safe, Sidney Troopers Say

SIDNEY – State police have located a Sidney man, 23, who left his home on foot at 4 p.m. Sunday, as temperatures descended into single digits, and report he is safe and in good health.

The family of Cody L. Conkling has been advised of his recovery, troopers said today.

When state police received the report, Conkling had last been seen wearing a gray flannel shirt, blue jeans, work boots and brown baseball cap.  The man is 6-foot-1, weighs about 190 pounds, and had a distinctive bushy beard, brown hair and blue eyes.

Troopers thanked the public for share the man’s photo via social media.
