Retired Players Can Stay Induction-Eligible For Only 10 Years, Hall’s Directors Decide COOPERSTOWN – The Baseball Hall of Fame board of directors today announced players will only be eligible to stay on the ballot for 10 years after retiring, instead of 15, effective immediately.
