Bassett Names Scott Bonderoff

President Of O’Connor Hospital

Scott Bonderoff

COOPERTOWN – The Bassett Healthcare Network trustees today named Scott Bonderoff president of O’Connor Hospital in Delhi, effective Monday.

He succeeds Dr. Carlton Rule, who is leaving the Bassett system at month’s end.

Bonderoff has been with Bassett Healthcare since 2001 – since 2010 as vice president of patient services & ancillary support at Bassett Hospital. He was chosen from among a dozen internal and external candidates the selection committee considered during its search over the last several weeks.

At Bassett, Bonderoff has directed Emergency & Trauma Services, Imaging and Radiology and a number of support departments.

“One of the main drivers for me to work at O’Connor is the connection that the staff has with their patients,” said Bonderoff.  “ We share the same passion for bringing local, high quality services to patients and their families.”

Bonderoff earned an MBA in healthcare from Binghamton University. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Medical Group Management Association as well as an executive governance board member of Leatherstocking Collaborative Health Partners.

He and wife Mary, director of SUNY Oneonta’s Office of Student Diversity, live in Cooperstown, where they raised three sons.
