COOPERSTOWN – Dunkin’ Donuts today advised Village Hall it is withdrawing its application to build a co-branded outlet with Baskin Robbins in the village, Mayor Ellen Tillapaugh Kuch confirmed a few minutes ago.
Village Zoning Enforcement Officer Jane Gentile received an e-mail this morning announcing its decision to terminate its plans for a lot at Chestnut and Walnut Streets. “Dunkin Brands is requesting to formally withdraw its application from further consideration,” the company said.
Plans for a six-month moratorium on that site will still go forward, she said.
The plans were decried by citizens at a packed hearing by the Historic Preservation & Architectural Review Board.
It’s to bad Cooperstown won’t let Dunkin in their village your loss people I support Dunkin
