The Freeman’s Journal and Hometown Oneonta have hired a new marketing consultant.

Danielle Crocco, originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, is beginning a new chapter with the region’s oldest paper, hoping to utilize her skills to serve her community.

“I’m super stoked to be with this awesome team,” Crocco said. “I like working with people and I get to explore the town and be out there.”

Crocco, the youngest of three siblings, said she considers herself a foodie and enjoys pilates and watching documentaries on Netflix.

Crocco said she has rented an apartment in Oneonta and is excited to see what the city and Otsego County has to offer.

She also said she is surprised by the summer weather, including the chilly mornings and afternoons when temperatures are in the 70s. “I’ve heard the summers here are like the winters I am used to in North Carolina,” she said.

“My wardrobe will definitely change!”

Tara Barnwell, publisher of The Freeman’s Journal and Hometown Oneonta, said she is happy to have Crocco onboard.

“Danielle is full of energy, has a great personality and our businesses and customers in Otsego County will enjoy working with her on their advertising and total marketing needs, whether in print, on www.allotsego.com, or digitally,” she said.
