OFFICER CHARGED WITH SHOPLIFTING Case Focuses On $56,000 In Memorabilia COOPERSTOWN – Ian R. Turner, a former Cooperstown police parking enforcement officer, was arraigned this morning at Otsego Town Court on charges that he allegedly stole $56,077 worth of sports memorabilia from Paterno Brothers Sports over the summer. Appearing before Town Justice  Gary Kuch in Fly Creek, Turner was charged with grand larceny, second degree, a felony violation.  He plead not guilty, and was represented by public defender James P.
