The eyes of the baseball world will be focused on Cooperstown this weekend, with the legends of the game in town to see history unfold during Hall of Fame Weekend. Robert Faller, former director of sales and marketing at The Otesaga Resort Hotel, Cooperstown, and The Desmond Hotel and Conference Center, Albany, passed away on July 12, 2023. Governor On Hand for Doubleday Ribbon-Cutting

Governor Kathy Hochul visited Cooperstown on Monday, July 17 to officially unveil the new renovations at historic Doubleday Field. Relive Inductees’ HoF Weekend Journey at Legends Roundtable

Less than 24 hours after receiving the greatest honor of their careers, Fred McGriff and Scott Rolen will share stories of a lifetime spent in baseball for fans in Cooperstown. McGriff and Rolen, the Hall of Fame’s Class of 2023, will spend the morning of their final day of their weekend in Cooperstown at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum’s Legends of the Game Roundtable, swapping stories of their baseball careers as well as recapping Induction Weekend.…

Washed Out Section of Route 80 Reported

Full details are not yet known, but motorists traveling in and out of Cooperstown will want to avoid Route 80 (West Lake Road) where, approximately four miles north of the village, the road seems to be collapsing, presumably due to the recent heavy rains. At last report, both the Cooperstown Fire Department and New York State Department of Transportation had responded to the crisis.
