Maria Graham, age 55, passed away on December 12, 2024 from complications of Type 1 diabetes. She was born September 23, 1969 to Linda (Gregorio) and Edward Graham, and grew up in Fort Ann, New York. She graduated from Fort Ann Central High School and attended the State University College at Oneonta. 
After college, Maria lived in the Oneonta, New York area. Over the course of her professional life, she was a baker, a caterer, a bookseller, a manager and a realtor.…

Eric was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil on January 5, 1942, the son of Harold and Martha Vivian Wilson. His formative years were spent living with his parents and sister Wendy in both Rio de Janeiro and Scarsdale, New York, as his father worked for ESSO in Brazil. He graduated from Scarsdale High School, earned a BA in economics and business at Washington and Lee University, an MBA at Cornell University, and his CPA degree at Florida International University.…

Richards Avenue: One Year After December 9 Gas Explosion

Between 15 and 25 people were displaced immediately after the explosion, according to Patricia Leonard, executive director of Family Services Association of Oneonta. Some took refuge at a motel for a few days; others were displaced longer, and some have still not returned to their homes. Insurance, contracting, and inspection issues have delayed repair and reconstruction for all impacted by the disaster.…
