Cooperstown Police Department: No all-night parking on village streets Cooperstown police remind residents and visitors that local law prohibits all-night parking on village streets and in village-owned parking lots between November 1 and April 1. The village permits no parked cars on the streets specifically between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. during these months. Oneonta-Cooperstown Bus Changes Oneonta Public Transit this week consolidates four bus runs into two, addressing a driver shortage, overlapping existing routes, and changing ridership data. OPT Director David Hotaling told the Oneonta Common Council in December that existing “East End” and “Cooperstown” routes overlap, and “West End” and “River Street” routes faced dwindling ridership. NY weighs dime deposit New Yorkers would pay a 10-cents-per-bottle deposit on an expanded list of redeemable beverage containers under new legislation that supporters say would “update” the state’s 40-year-old bottle bill.
