Court grants governor full stay on masks New York’s Appellate court on January 31 granted a full stay to Governor Kathy Hochul’s mask mandate for all public indoor spaces for the remainder of the appeals process currently underway. SUNY Oneonta student found at OPT garage passes away A SUNY Oneonta student found unconscious outside an Oneonta Public Transit parking garage Thursday morning died from his injuries later that night. Oneonta Police say Transit workers found Tyler Lopresti-Castro, 20, outside the Silas Lane garage at 6:50 a.m. on January 27. Responders took him first to A.O. Governor extends indoor mask mandate

Governor extends indoor mask mandate Governor Kathy Hochul announced Friday afternoon that she’s extending the “mask or vaccine” policy for indoor public spaces through February 10, 2022. The mask mandate remains in place for schools, as well. It had been set to expire February 1 and this week was the subject of back-and-forth court rulings on its constitutionality.
