CONSECUTIVE NY TITLE IN REACH LADY HAWKEYES HEAD TO FINAL 4 WHITEBORO – A few seconds ago, the Lady Hawkeyes won a berth in next weekend’s Final Four with a 62-44 victory over Watkins Glen. The girls roared back from a nip-and-tuck first quarter to dominate the hardwood at state quarter-finals at Whitesboro High this afternoon and overwhelm Watkins Glens, the same team they defeated in the state finals last year. Thrilling Season Comes To An End Lady Hawkeyes Bow, 60-49, In Semis Cooperstown’s Lady Hawkeyes console each other after bowing to Watkins Glen, 60-49, in the state semifinals this afternoon at the Broome County Veterans Memorial in Binghamton. 3 Lady Hawkeyes NYSSWA All-Stars Oneonta’s Eichler, Buzzy Honored, Too The New York State Sportswriters Association today named three CCS Lady Hawkeyes to the girls all-state basketball team. Cooperstown senior Piper Seamon, the hard-driving guard who was leading the Cooperstown girls to the state championship when play was ended by the coronavirus, reached the highest ranking, named to the third team Class C all-state girls basketball team.
