Police: Cherry Valley Man

Tried To Hire Hitman

CHERRY VALLEY – A Cherry Valley man was arrested after police alleged he tried to hire someone to commit a murder on his behalf.

State Police at Richfield Springs believed Danny Baldwin, 56, tried to hire someone earlier this month to intentionally cause the death of another person.

He was arrested this afternoon and charged with Conspiracy in the second degree, a class B felony, and arraigned before Town of Richfield Judge James M. Marzeski and remanded to the Otsego County Jail in lieu of $250,000.00 cash bail or $500,000.00 property bond.
