Chief Of Cardiology McNulty

Leaves Bassett Hospital Today

Dr. Patrick McNulty

COOPERSTOWN – Today is Dr. Patrick McNulty’s last as chief of Bassett Hospital’s Cardiology Division.

“Pat has tirelessly built a premier cardiac program. Under Pat’s stewardship, the size of the division has increased by several-fold,” Drs. Charles Hyman and Steven Heneghan, respective chief of the medical staff and chief of clinical services, in a statement.

During his tenure, McNulty has recruited experts in cardiac imaging, electrophysiology, preventive cardiology and echocardiocardiology, developed a heart-alert system “that has saved countless lives,” while maintaining his involvement in patient care, his colleagues said in a memo.

“We would like to thank (him) for his service to Bassett and the communities we serve, and, wish him luck in his future endeavors.”
