Community Cooks,
Cooperstown Convenes
The streets of Cooperstown were filled with friends, enticing aromas and music as the villagers gathered Sunday afternoon for the seventh annual Community Harvest Dinner. Above, Rebecca Weil, one of the organizers, greets guests at the dinner table that stretched along Main Street from Fair to River. At right, Albany sisters Ayla and Thea Goldman, who were in town visiting their aunt Mary Ann Kehoe, Cooperstown, present a gluten-free skeleton cake made for the occasion. The annual dinner brings a couple of hundred residents downtown, dishes in hand, to share the bounty of the harvest and spend quality time with their neighbors at the end of the busy tourist season.
