County Budget Gap Reduced,

Sheriff’s Budget Cut $250,000

Despite a plea from county Sheriff Richard J. Devlin Jr., the Budget Review Committee of the county Board of Representatives this morning voted to cut his budget by about $250,000.  Overall, the committee reduced a $9.2 million budget gap by $4.5 million, and scheduled a meeting for 9:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19, to cut more.  Devlin is flanked by county Rep.   1. Rediculous, where is all the money saved from selling the Meadows? Why is it always the services that get cut?
