IN MEMORIAM: Denise E. Arnold, 49;

13-Year Employee at NYCM Insurance

EDMESTON – Denise E. Arnold, 49, a 13-year employee of NYCM Insurance,  passed away unexpectedly Thursday Jan. 5, 2017 in Cooperstown.

Denise was born on May 13, 1967 in Sidney, the daughter of Dennis and Delilah Butts Wagner.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Arnold of Edmeston, whom she married April 11, 1992; her son, James Arnold of Bridgewater; her daughter Susan Hawes of Pittsburgh, Pa.; her mother, Delilah Wagner; brother Bill Wagner; sisters Annette Wagner and Terri Williams, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was pre-deceased by her father, and brother Dennis Wagner Jr.

Denise was employed with NYCM Insurance for over 13 years. She spent the majority of her free time caring for others, but especially for her husband and keeping up with the day to day life of her children. She will be remembered as always being a kind and loving person who consistently put others before herself. She had a love for animals and children, and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her first grandchild.

A celebration of Denise’s life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan 14, at the Burlington Flats Baptist Church, with Pastor Jay Henderson officiating. There will be refreshments following the service.
